A few weeks ago I saw this website which was free. So I tried making one for our band. And so you can visit our Band Site at:

It wasn’t really that far, we thought it was! Anyway, it started really late and we we’re wondering where are other bands? Maybe they got caught with the traffic, or maybe they got lost. But enough of that, as long as everybody came, and everybody played music! It was all good! We didn’t even noticed that it poured rain all the time that we were in the bar (or maybe bok and erick did notice, because they went out for a smoke).

Four songs per band? whoa! talk about luck! Well we usually got to play three songs so we thought “might as well take advantage of JOB’s offer!” and so we did! Yeah, I think we practically screwed up our gig. Maybe because we were tired or maybe we had trouble with the equipment, we just played our music. we just played as if there was nothing wrong, we just sucked it up! There were other great bands that night , but unfortunately we didn’t get to see everybody else because we have to go home early since most of us had to take a rest (especially dyc, peace man!), and three of us still got to get to Sucat. And so… We left early!

Friday Night was up again and we are about to record our fourth song, and we are ready and set to go! This was quite a hard song to record since we didn’t have cues or anything so when we recorded the drums, Erick sang, When we recorded guitars, Erick sang, and when we recorded the bass Erick sang! After we recorded the song we waited, and while we waited we jammed for a bit.

We also got the clean copy of Teka Lang last friday.

Sa loob na rin ng ilang taon kong pagsalang sa entablado, pag harap sa musika, loob at labas, naranasan ko na ang lahat na puedeng mangyari sa akin at sa banda, pero hindi nagiging sanhi ito para kumawala ako sa gusto kong gawin.

Ang nakakawala lang gana minsan, eh ung mismong kayo na nasa loob ng eksena ang nag-aaway-away.. banda sa banda.. na hindi mo naman malaman kung bakit… inggitan, siraan, hilahan pababa, yabangan, ugaling talangka.

Ang musika ay hindi kompetisyon, at kahit kailan hindi magiging kompetisyon. laging meron magaling at meron din naman gagaling pa, pero hindi ibig sabihin noon ay dapat tapakan, yabangan at manira ng ibang banda.

Uulitin ko, sa musika, musika lang… hindi ito kompetisyon, ito ay sining. tayo ay mga musikero at ang layunin natin (siguro para sa nakakarami) ay pag – aralan ang sining at ipamahagi ang nalalaman sa mga tao. hindi ipagmayabang o ipagmalaki kundi ipamahagi.

Ang banda ay isang grupo ng musikero na nais ipamahagi (hindi ipagyabang at ipagmalaki) ang kanilang musika. isang grupo na nagkasundo na pagsama-samahin ang kanilang mga kaalaman sa musika at instrumento upang makalikha ng isang bago o ‘di kaya ay lumang tugtugin.

Sa aking paglalakbay sa mga tugtugan (gigs) marami akong natutunan ( isa na ang ‘wag magpakalasing bago tumugtog) at nakita. Merong mga banda na ang nais lang ay sumikat, kumita ng pera, gamitin ang musika para sa personal na ambisyon, ang makalikom ng mga materyal na bagay na maaring ipagkaloob ng kanilang sining. ipakitang magaling sila sa kanilang napiling instrumento at idiin un sa iba namang banda.

Kung ganung kayong mga tao, wag nyo nalang kami idamay, masaya kami sa mundo namin na iniikutan lang ng totoong sining.

Walang awayan, walang ingitan, walang asaran, walang “rockstar”

Walang masama sa mga nasabi ko, sino bang tao ang walang ambisyon, sinong tao ba ang walang nais na makuha, at walang masama kung mag-ambisyon ang isang tao.

Ito ay akin opinyon lang…

Now this time we did more than just overtime! it took us two days to record this song. The first day was fun, We just waited and ate Siopao, Pizza slice, Hotdog, Fishball, and Balut. But then… Kuya’s PC crashed so we just recorded the drums that night. So… The second day! (Bale sumunod na linggo) We finished the song and and we had fun! It rained (again) that night, now I’m really wondering why it is always raining when we have our recording sessions. By the way It was one of our favorite songs!

Kailangan talaga namin ng masisilungan ng gabing iyon dahil bumuhos ang ulan bago kami makarating nang Dayo Bar! It was a fun night, most of the band that performed played good music, plus booze, eh sino pa magrereklamo sa ulan? Wala, maginuman at magrakrakan na lang tayo hanggang sa umaga! The bands who played was, Zero Divide, Antigo, Eight Circuit and a lot more! Sana pumunta ka, sana nakinig ka, at sana nakainuman ka namin para mas masaya!

Salamat ulit kay pareng JOB! astig talaga Nosi Balasi! At sa Exegesis Production na walang sawa na sumusuporta sa mga banda! Salamat din kay Nancy sa mga pics! At sa mga nagpunta, nanood, at pumalakpak! Maraming Salamat! Dahil sa inyo nabubuhay ang Musikang Pilipino!

Another grueling three hours of our life. And this time we went into overtime, and we finished recording at 2 A.M. Medyo natagalan din kami sa vocals namin hehehe (peace man!) Anyway you can listen to the songs on our multiply site….

Looking back… We went to Freedom bar last July 04, 2008!

And it was an awesome night. A lot of bands came to perform including us!
